CPS Certified!

I am very excited to announce that I have completed my Child Safety Seat Technician Certification course (for the second time), and I am one step closer to launching my business! Why did I take the course a second time? Well, as my profile states, I have been a police officer for 15 years and approximately 10 years ago I recieved my first certification with the birth of our first son. For the next 5-plus years, I was heavily active in the Child Safety Seat community, attending check-up events, and working dilegently in the community based project I developed through my department. My department has a mandatory special assignment rotation, and when I was rotated out of the traffic division, I was no longer able to run my project. Although I stayed involved in Child Safety Seat issues by being the "go-to-guy" amongst my co-workers, family and friends, I did not re-apply for my certificaiton (our national certificaitons are valid for 2 years). Now that I am once again getting "officially" involved again, my first step was to re-certify. Rather than going through a refresher course, I opted to go through the full certification course to make sure I did not miss anything. Hang in there with me, I promiss this blog won't dissappoint! I just don't want to rush it!
